The Second Cleanse Superstar

25 June 2015

Gentle, but effective; what's not to love?

Out of all the skincare products in my regime, I tend to go through cleanser the quickest, meaning I've tried quite a few in my years. Despite this, I had never found one that truly did the job. Until now.

The First Aid Beauty Face Cleanser is an airy, pearlescent cream cleanser that leaves your face feeling clean, but not stripped.

After removing my makeup with my trusty The Body Shop Camomile Silky Cleansing Oil and the Garnier Micellar Water, I massage a pea-sized amount of the cleanser onto a wet face, then rinse with water. It gets rid of the residue from the makeup removers, any remaining grime, and leaves my face feeling fresh and ready for moisturiser.

I also love that it's fragrance-free and packed with soothing ingredients like aloe and licorice root extract, instead of the irritants I've come to expect in skincare. But my favourite thing? It doesn't leave behind that icky residue characteristic of so many cleansers, which is most definitely a reason to celebrate.
